I would like to applaud Ivan who worked along side us to do our cash out refinance. He was very communicative and helpful from beginning to end. His ability to be available to us at any time of the day or week to simply answer any questions we had was superb. However I had to take away one star due to the fact that although they were honest and upfront about the process, what to expect and the realistic aspect of it all; it was a bit of an over promise and under deliver for me. We were told we would be closing the first week of July so if I’m told one thing then I will expect as much and if it’s not happening at that point in time then it’s a bit of a problem for me. As each week went by which at that point we were constantly told “it will be this week” or “we will be closing soon,” I would’ve loved if they were a bit more transparent with us in the sense that we would not be closing that particular week and to expect a bit of a delay due to “an unforeseen circumstance” that had nothing to do with us rather than to give us the run around with dates just to keep our hopes high that we would be “closing soon.” I know there are other moving parts involved in the process which are not a direct result of The Mortgage Factory’s failure to meet said dates so I cannot give a negative review due to that. Overall, I appreciate them for their efforts to ensure we got what we needed out of our refinance and willingness to work with us despite the hiccups in the end.
