My wife and I have bought many homes over the years with mixed experiences when it comes to lenders. After 3 months, countless documents and go-arounds, my bank (Chase) told me at the very last minute that they couldn't get me a mortgage. This is back when the pandemic was the thing and everyone's hours were decreased. Someone suggested I contact Jon @ Better Rate. He got me a rate BETTER than the bank could have, and he did it in 10 days. I will always contact Better Rate for my mortgage needs. No reason to go anywhere else PERIOD.

Mike only used part of my income because he didn’t want it to look like I’d had more than one job. Then He wanted me to get a letter from my employer explaining why there was a drastic change in income when the reason was he purpose left out w2’s. The whole home buying process was a pain. My rate lock expired on the day of signing which is also the day I was presented with parapets saying there was a violation on my condo and I had no opportunity to look into it. If I waited my rate lock would have expired. So either way I was stuck in a bad deal.
